REPUBLICAN & POLITICAL BACKGROUND
  • While attending Delbarton, Michael first became interested in politics while volunteering for Richard Nixon's 1972 Re-Election campaign.
  • At Johns Hopkins, Michael chaired the College Republicans and served as an officer in the College Republican National Committee
  • After interning in the Office of Congressman Jack Kemp in Washington, D.C., Michael worked for the Republican State Committee in Trenton in 1978. He served as an aide to State Senator John Dorsey upon graduation from Johns Hopkins.
  • In 1980, Michael founded the Morris County Young Republicans and chaired that organization for 4 years. He was elected to the Morristown Republican Committee that same year and held that office for four years. At Rutgers, Michael founded the Rutgers Conservative Union.
  • Today, he serves on the Morris Township Republican Committee. He is a member of the Federalist Society. Michael authored a weekly column for The Journal of Morristown and Morris Township entitled "Politics and Law". He has served as an Opinion Shaper in the Daily Record and editor of Trunkline, the official newsletter of the Morris County Republican Committee.

    Moved to Morris County in 1960 and has lived here ever since.
